Registration for The “Minnie” Disney Challenge Opens Tonight!

At 12:01am October 2nd, Registration for The “Minnie” Disney Challenge opens. You can now register your team through our all-new Online Registration Form. Just go to the top of this page and click on the “Register A Team” button (revealed at 12:01am). Please make sure you have read the “How To Play” section in its entirety first, then fill out the online form, make your Registration Donation with the new PayPal button, and get your team ready to play this brand new adventure. Registration will remain open until midnight on Friday, October 23rd. (Only 3 weeks!)

All New Registration System To Be Unveiled

With the introduction of The “Minnie” Disney Challenge on November 8th 2015, we are very proud to unveil an all new (and MUCH SIMPLER) registration process. Team registration will now be handled on this very website. It’s simple, it’s efficient, and best of all, the Team Registration and Registration Donation will both be handled on the same page. Here’s how it will work:

At 12:01am on October 2nd the “Register A Team” link at the top of the webpage will go live. Clicking this link will take you to the team Registration Form. All you have to do is fill out the form, click submit, click on the PayPal button, pay your registration donation, and Voila! Your team is registered.

You will still receive a confirmation email within 24 hours with the Rules Overview and the location of the starting line, just like in years past.

With this new registration system in place, we have also revamped, updated, and combined the “Rules” and “Register” parts of the website into one page called “How To Play”. We HIGHLY recommend clicking on that link and reading it over BEFORE registering a team. (It’s live now so don’t wait!)

Special thanks to Event Crew Member Johanna for creating the Registration Form! We look forward to seeing you all at The Disney Challenge!

Announcing the ALL NEW Mini-Disney Challenge!

In November of 2015, The Disney Challenge will present a brand new event: The Mini-Disney Challenge. This will be a half-day event, taking place in Downtown Disney. All questions and puzzles can be answered between the Esplanade and the Hotels, so that means no actual park admission will be required for this challenge.

While The Mini-Disney Challenge is still in pre-production at this time and will undoubtedly change and morph into something weird and wonderful, we have a few details we can release at this time.
• The start time will be noon on Sunday, November 8th.
• The Challenge will end at either 3pm or 4pm with the awards ceremony 2-3 hours after that.
• It will include such category favorites as DINGO, a Photo Challenge, Picture This, as well as our usual wacky questions and who knows…maybe something brand new!
• The cost will be around $20-$25 per team.

We are super excited to finally bring you this new concept we have been talking about for years now. How excited are you to play?

Review: Glow with the Show at Fantasmic!

Glow with the Show at Fantasmic Review

*Photo provided by Dave Mancini*

What were you doing this past Tuesday night? If you were one of the lucky Annual Passholders to grab tickets to Disneyland’s latest Glow with the Show experiment, then you might have seen Johanna, Becca, and myself, along with some of our friends watching the newest Disney Parks technology make it’s debut at Disneyland.

Glow with the Show started earlier this year at Disney’s California Adventure. On a night much like this past Tuesday, a few thousand Annual Passholders were invited to watch World of Color, while wearing the newest Mickey Glow Ears that sync with the show. It was truly a site to behold! However, the ears interact with more than just World of Color;wWalk past Luigi’s Tires in Cars Land, and they turn green, red, and white (the colors of the Italian Flag). Head over to The Mad T Party, and they dance to the music. It was a California Adventure exclusive experience until now.

We got a sneak preview, and as much as I like Fantasmic by itself, it was amazing watching the fourth wall being broken and seeing the show encapsulate the audience as well as The Rivers of America. When the music changes or when different characters appear, the ears change with them. They flash and strobe during the thunder and lightning sound effects, and they even sparkle and flash different colors to go along with the scenes. Seeing Fantasmic with thousands of diehard Disney fans is always fun, but this select group of Annual Passholders brought or bought their ears, and it was absolutely magical. There are even rumors that some Disneyland attractions will incorporate this technology, but nothing been confirmed as of today.

On Friday, August 31st, you can use your Glow With The Show ears with Fantasmic. I highly recommend watching Fantasmic or World of Color with these ears. Make sure you pick up a pair so you can be a part of the magic!
